Those looking to escape scorching temperatures next week can cool off at the Battle Ground Community Center.
The city of Battle Ground is inviting anyone to hang out at its air-conditioned community center from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday next week. Temperatures are expected to climb well into the mid- and upper-90s throughout the region.
Visitors are welcome to bring meals, reading material, board games and other things to entertain their children. Wi-Fi will also be available.
