Clark County — Extra police officers will patrol Clark County roads this Fourth of July, targeting motorists who are speeding, driving aggressively or driving impaired.
The Clark County Traffic Safety Taskforce, which is made up of all the police agencies in the county, along with Washington State Patrol District 5, asks that people plan ahead for any traveling they do this weekend and give themselves plenty of time to get to their destination. Motorists can expect heavier traffic volumes that might lead to delays.
If you consume alcohol, call a friend or taxi, or use a designated driver, advises the WSP.
The Washington State Traffic Safety Commission pays for the additional road patrols.
