A Vancouver man was tossed from his motorcycle Saturday morning after crashing into a concrete barrier along an exit ramp.

Viktor Kaharov, 20, of Vancouver was riding his Yamaha R6 east on state Highway 500 and took the exit to Interstate 205 south. As he merged onto the freeway, he crossed the gore point and collided into the concrete barrier dividing the ramp from additional lanes of traffic merging onto freeway, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Kaharov was thrown from his motorcycle and later transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center. He was treated in the emergency room and later discharged from the hospital.

The State Patrol said excessive speed led to the crash.
