Brush Prairie native Lindsay Aho will take her golf skills on national TV.

The 26-year-old will be among 12 contestants on Big Break Florida, the next edition of The Golf Channel’s reality competition series.

The winner receives $65,000, full status on the Symetra Tour, which is one step below the LPGA, and entry into one LPGA Tour event.

Aho, a two-time all-American at Concordia, is entering her second year as a pro golfer on the Cactus Tour, an Arizona-based mini tour.

A “meet the contestants” preview show will air Wednesday with the series premiere set for Feb. 24 on The Golf Channel.

Friday marked David Stern’s last day as NBA commissioner.

Public sentiment on his 30-year tenure is positive, according to an ESPN SportsNation poll that had more than 100,000 votes as of Friday evening.

All but two states gave Stern a B grade.

The outliers? Washington, which gave Stern an F, and Oklahoma, which gave him an A.

If you said the Sonics’ move to Oklahoma City has anything to do with that, you’d be as true as a Kevin Durant jump shot.

The NFL, which has no problem recognizing a potential revenue stream, put a $28.50 price tag on tickets to Tuesday’s Media Day. About 7,000 fans anted up.

What did they get for their money? They watched the media ask questions of the Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos in separate one-hour sessions. Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch didn’t have much to say in his brief appearance, but he did manage to comment on the fans in attendance.

“They came to watch people get interviewed,” he marveled. “This is amazing right here, man.”
