Brooke Sparks had 16 points, Katelyn McGuire added 13, and the Hawks survived a tough fourth quarter to get the 2A GSHL victory.

R.A. Long outscored the Hawks by 11 in that final period, with Hockinson struggling from the free throw line. The Hawks would end up missing 21 of their attempts in the game.

That did not matter, though, because of the Hawks’ defense.

Sparks had six rebounds and four steals to go with her points. McGuire had six rebounds and six steals.

Hannah Neibauer led the Hawks with eight steals.
