James Phillips came up big down the stretch as the visiting Falcons outscored the Trappers by nine points in the fourth quarter.
Phillips scored nine of his 21 points in the fourth quarter and grabbed six of his 12 rebounds in the period. Two offensive rebounds by Phillips led to key free throws for Prairie.
“He did a nice job of willing his team to the win,” Fort Vancouver coach Scott Thompson said.
Prairie (11-7, 6-2) solidified its hold on second place in the Class 3A Greater St. Helens League. Fort Vancouver (7-11, 3-5) lost its fourth consecutive game after starting league play 3-1. This was the final home game of the season for the Trappers.
