Will Noce-Sheldon hit seven 3-pointers and C.J. Strong scored the go-ahead basket in the closing seconds as the Seton Catholic boys basketball team stunned La Center in a Trico League game on Wednesday.
Strong hit a 15-foot fadeaway jumper with three seconds to play for the win.
“Then pandemonium ensued,” Seton coach Kevin Holboke said. “It was a great win for our kids.”
Noce-Sheldon, who finished 22 points, helped keep the Cougars in the game.
“We sort of lost track of Noce-Sheldon,” La Center coach Jon Schroeder said. “He hit three 3-pointers in the second quarter, two in the third and two in the fourth. He’s a good shooter. If you leave him open, he’s going to pop those, and he did.”
Justin James added 11 points and 10 rebounds for Seton, which has been eliminated from the postseason chase.
