The Clark College men’s basketball team regrouped after a sluggish ending to the first half to beat visiting Green River 72-54 on Wednesday.
Collin Spickerman had 19 points, 12 rebounds and five blocks, and Sean Price added 13 points, six rebounds and five assists for the Penguins.
“We got up by 15 in the first half, then kind of put it on cruise control,” Clark coach Alex Kirk said. “Our effort and concentration was not what it needed to be. But we got better effort in the second half.
The Penguins get a week off before heading into a tough four-game stretch over eight days the starts next Wednesday at Lower Columbia.
