SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — Police in Spokane say they’ve recovered at least 25 bags and 100 cans of cat food stolen from an area animal shelter and arrested a 40-year-old man.

The Spokesman-Review says William Sorenson was booked into jail late Tuesday for investigation of second-degree burglary.

Police say the food was taken from a storage shed at the SpokAnimal shelter on Jan. 17.

Officers recovered the food after receiving a tip. No motive was discussed.
