AUBURN, Ala. (AP) — The Alabama at Auburn men’s basketball game scheduled for Wednesday night has been postponed a day because of a rare winter storm that made traveling in the state treacherous.
A storm bringing snow, ice and freezing temperatures well below normal for the Deep South caused huge problems for travelers all over the region Tuesday. Alabama was one of several states where a state of emergency was declared.
Auburn announced that after consulting with the Southeastern Conference it decided to push the basketball game with the Crimson Tide to Thursday night. The game will start 30 minutes after the conclusion of the women’s game between Auburn and Texas A&M, which is scheduled to tip-off at 5 p.m. CST.
