SEATTLE (AP) — This year’s Super Bowl is offering a twist on a sporting event better known for its beer commercials.

That’s because the matchup between the Denver Broncos and the Seattle Seahawks is also a matchup between the two states that have legalized marijuana.

Some fans have joked that a cannabis-friendly musician like Willie Nelson should sing the national anthem. A few guys from Denver are hawking “Stoner Bowl” T-shirts online.

And a company called of My 420 Tours is offering a three-night package that includes tours of Denver pot shops, free samples and a private viewing party for the game.

Derek Franklin, the president of the Washington Association for Substance Abuse and Violence Prevention, says he’s rooting for the Seahawks, but he worries about the message all the joking sends to children.
