BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. (AP) — Jerome Hill scored 19 points and grabbed 15 rebounds as Gardner-Webb defeated Campbell 66-48 on Saturday night.

Naji Hibbert added 11 points and Donta Harper 10 for the Runnin’ Bulldogs (10-11, 3-3 Big South), who pulled away midway through the second half.

Despite the loss, the Fighting Camels (10-11, 4-2) are still atop the conference’s North Division.

Gardner-Webb took off to a 10-0 lead and was up by as many as 17 points before Campbell closed the first half on an 18-5 run to trail 30-26. But the Camels went cold in the second half, shooting just 26.5 percent, including just 1 of 19 from 3-point range after hitting 5 of 10 from the arc in the first 20 minutes.

Andrew Ryan led Campbell with 14 points with Reco McCarter adding 11 and Antwon Oliver 10. Campbell’s Leek Leek had a career-high five blocks, all in the first half.
