Girls basketball: Columbia River 62, Mountain View 44

Marion Lilly sparked a big second quarter as the Chieftains improved to 5-1 in the 3A Greater St. Helens League.

Lilly scored 16 of her 24 points in the second quarter, when Columbia River outscored Mountain View 27-9. She made four steals in a two-minute span that turned into baskets.

Ellie Walker added 10 points for the Chieftains (9-7 overall). Columbia River made 17 steals in the game. Megan Bloom grabbed a team-high seven rebounds.

Hailey Hartney scored 13 points and Emilly Moore 11 for Mountain View (2-3, 5-9).
