Firestone Pacific Foods applies for expansion

A Vancouver fruit producer plans to double the size of its Fruit Valley packing facility by constructing a 20,500-square-foot building next door to its existing building at 4211 N.W. Fruit Valley Road.

Firestone Pacific Foods Inc. has submitted the application to Vancouver’s planning department, which will consider written comments regarding the proposal submitted no later than 4 p.m. Feb. 7.

Information regarding the application may be examined at the city’s permit center, 415 W. Sixth St. during the center’s business hours. Firestone Pacific Foods Inc. is part of the 300-acre Firestone Family Farm in Vancouver. The operation flash freezes and packs locally-grown strawberries, cranberries, blackberries, raspberries, marionberries, boysenberries, cherries and blueberries.
