Wyoming erases 15-point gap, beats Air Force 66-59

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — Larry Nance Jr. had 20 points and nine rebounds to lead Wyoming’s 66-59 comeback victory against Air Force on Wednesday night.

Nathan Sobey’s 3-pointer with 3:59 left put Wyoming (12-6, 3-2 Mountain West) ahead 56-54, its first lead since the opening minutes. The Cowboys had battled for over 20 minutes to overcome a 15-point first-half deficit.

Air Force (9-9, 3-4) went back in front 57-56 on Tre’ Coggins’ 3-pointer with 3:22 left. Nance answered with two free throws to give the Cowboys the lead for good.

Nance scored six of his points in the final 4 minutes as the Cowboys ended the game on a 10-2 run.

Josh Adams chipped in 17 points for Wyoming and Sobey added 10.

Kamryn Williams had 17 points to lead Air Force, which led 30-15 with 5 minutes left in the first half. Coggins scored 15 and Justin Hammonds added 13.
