DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) — The future of North American road racing will be on display Saturday when 67 teams take the green flag for the prestigious Rolex 24 at Daytona.

The event will be the first for the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship, which is the final product of the merger between Grand-AM and the American Le Mans Series. It marks the first time sports cars in North America have been unified since 1997.

The cars will be spread among four classes in the twice-round-the-clock endurance race. The overall winner will likely come from Prototype (P) class, comprised of the former Daytona Prototype class from Grand-AM, as well as the P2 class and the DeltaWing from ALMS.
