NEW YORK (AP) — Charlon Kloof scored 18 points and finished with seven assists and St. Bonaventure handed La Salle its first Atlantic 10 Conference loss, 66-51 on Wednesday night.

La Salle (11-7, 3-1) led by eight with 8:53 left in the first half, but the Bonnies quickly fired off nine-straight points and pushed ahead by three at the break. The Explorers trailed by just four with 12:39 left on the clock, but an 8-2 run gave St. Bonaventure enough of a lead to stay ahead the rest of the competition.

Matthew Wright and Marquise Simmons added 10 points each as the Bonnies (12-7, 2-3) snapped a three-game losing streak.

Both teams shot below 20 percent from 3-point range and made 18 each from the free-throw line. St. Bonaventure shot over 14 percent better from the field (23 of 52) than the Explorers (15 of 50).

Tyreek Duren led La Salle with 16 points.
