NC Central beats NC A&T 84-44

DURHAM, N.C. (AP) — Jeremy Ingram led the way with 20 points for North Carolina Central in an 84-44 win against North Carolina A&T on Wednesday night.

NCCU (12-5, 3-1 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) used an 18-4 run to end the first half with a 34-17 lead, and an 18-1 run in the second to take a 62-26 lead with 12:14 to play.

Jordan Parks added 17 points for the Eagles which held NC A&T to 22.7 percent shooting (10 of 44). Karamo Jawara chipped in 13 points and eight rebounds and Jay Copeland scored 10. Emanuel Chapman had nine points and nine assists.

The Eagles had a 17-5 edge in assists and out-rebounded the Aggies 45-31 while forcing 20 turnovers.

Jeremy Underwood had eight points to lead NC A&T (6-13, 2-2) which scored 20 of its 44 points at the free-throw line.
