Hockinson — The founders of Vancouver music festival Couvapalooza gave a boost to music programs at Hockinson schools last week with a $1,000 donation. Mike and Heidi Troxler, who started the annual concert fundraiser, met with music teachers and Hockinson School District Superintendent Sandra Yager on Jan. 15 to present them with the money, to be split between the district’s schools. Couvapalooza was created two years ago to raise money for local music programs. The daylong concert on Aug. 17 at Clark College featured multi-platinum-selling rock band Everclear and a number of other groups from across the country. Learn more at www.couvapalooza.com.
