Washougal — Fox 12 Chief Meteorologist Mark Nelsen breezed into Hathaway Elementary Jan. 13 to give students a special lesson on weather systems. Nelsen, who has worked for Fox 12 since 2000, was asked to share his knowledge with second- and fifth-graders, who are studying the weather this year. “I want them to get an appreciation for weather that is happening all around us,” he said in a Washougal School District press release. “I also want them to know that I love my job and it all started with an interest in weather when I was a kid.
