ASHBURN, Va. (AP) — Washington Redskins linebacker Brian Orakpo is going to the Pro Bowl as a replacement for San Francisco 49ers linebacker Ahmad Brooks.
Orakpo had 10 sacks, his most since getting 11 as a rookie, and the first interception of his career.
It is Orakpo’s third Pro Bowl selection. He also was chosen for the NFL all-star games after the 2009 and 2010 seasons, his first two years in the league.
Orakpo is joined this time by left tackle Trent Williams and running back Alfred Morris from the Redskins, who went 3-13 and finished last in the NFC East.
The Pro Bowl is Sunday in Honolulu.
