Calwell leads Camas swimming team to win at Kelso Invitational

Kasey Calwell won the 200 freestyle and 100 breaststroke, both in meet-record times, to lead Camas to victory in the Kelso Invitational.

Calwell won the 200 free in 1 minute, 48.73 seconds and the 100 breast in 1:02.32. Calwell also swam on Camas’ 400 free relay team that won in a meet-record time of 3:23.10.

Also setting meet records were Prairie’s Jaron Hamlik in the 100 buttefly (53.24) and 50 free (22.10), Camas’ Jeff Fadlovich in the 500 free (5:15.82) and Columbia River’s Ben Grubb in the 100 backstroke (55.62).

Camas won the team battle with 668 points to easily outdistance Mark Morris (470). Skyview was third, followed by Hockinson.
