BOCA RATON, Fla. (AP) — Denzell Taylor scored 14 points as Old Dominion earned its third straight conference win — in its first season in Conference USA — with a 65-60 victory over Florida Atlantic on Saturday.

Keenan Palmore scored eight points during a 15-6 run as Old Dominion (9-9, 3-0) took its first lead of the second half at 54-53. Ambrose Mosley added a basket with 3:06 left and Jordan Baker’s bucket extended Old Dominion’s lead to 58-53 with 1:43 left.

Marquan Botley hit two free throws with 43 seconds left to end FAU’s scoreless streak at 4 minutes, 44 seconds. Palmore was fouled, but missed 1 of 2 free throws, and Pablo Bertone scored to pull FAU within 59-57 with 29 ticks left. But Mosley and Taylor made 6 of 6 free throws in the final 26 seconds to seal it.

Justin Raffington had 16 points and 12 rebounds for FAU (6-12, 2-2).
