SAN ANTONIO (AP) — Shawn Glover scored 24 points and hit the game-winning jumper with 1.2 seconds remaining to help Oral Roberts outlast Incarnate Word 79-77 on Saturday.
The Golden Eagles (10-8, 4-1 Southland) shot 52 percent from the field. Bobby Word hit five 3-pointers to finish with 17 points and D.J. Jackson added 14.
Denzel Livingston led Incarnate Word (14-3, 2-2) with 26 points and Anthony Horton chipped in 18.
Oral Roberts led by 12 at the midway mark in the first half, but Incarnate Word surged back to take the lead early in the second. With the score tied at 67, Glover took over, scoring 10 of the team’s final 12 points.
Glover answered a Horton jumper with one of his own to put Oral Roberts on top. Sam Burmeister tied it back up with a pair of free throws with 19 seconds left, which set up Glover’s game-winning shot.
