Girls basketball: Evergreen 29, Battle Ground 26

A three-pointer by Keila Swearingen in the fourth quarter put Evergreen ahead in a defensive battle.

The 3-pointer provided Swearingen with her only three points of the game.

Battle Ground had drawn up a play for a 3-pointer with under 20 seconds left, but the Tigers were unable to get it to go as they shot 14 percent on three-pointers for the night.

Jossilyn Blackman notched a double-double of 11 points and 11 rebounds in the loss for Battle Ground.

Cameronn Logan paced Evergreen with 12 points.
