OGDEN, Utah (AP) — Davion Berry scored 25 points, with 18 of them coming from the foul line, to lead Weber State to a 65-59 win over Southern Utah on Saturday night.

Weber State (7-6, 4-1 Big Sky) won the game on 31-of-43 free throw shooting, with Berry’s 18 penalty buckets in a single game tying a school record. Southern Utah (1-14, 0-6) made just 12 trips to the free throw line for seven points.

With the score tied at 51 late in the second half, the Wildcats used a 6-0 spurt sparked by a Kyndahl Hill dunk to carve out the lead it would hold down the stretch and extend their Big Sky home win streak to 21. Berry was the only Weber State player to reach double figures.

Trey Kennedy led Southern Utah with 17 points. A.J Hess and Jaren Jeffery scored 16 points apiece for the Thunderbirds before fouling out.
