Clark College and Washington State University Vancouver are teaming up to host College Goal Washington at 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 26, in Gaiser Hall Student Center on Clark College, 1933 Fort Vancouver Way.

The free, annual event helps students and families complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, the form required to apply for federal financial assistance for higher education. The FAFSA is considered the gateway to accessing financial aid resources including federal and state grants, school loans, and scholarships.

The event is for all students and their families, regardless of which four-year college, community college, vocational or technical school students plan to attend. Workshops and FAFSA filing assistance will be provided in English, Russian and Spanish.

Family financial information is key in completing the form, so students and parents are encouraged to attend together. The FAFSA form takes about an hour to complete.

Individuals who need accommodation due to a disability should contact Clark’s Disability Support Services Office at 360-992-2314 or 360-991-0901 (VP). For details or directions, call 360-992-2153 or visit www.clark.edu. Ample free parking is available near Gaiser Hall.
