ST. LOUIS (AP) — The Cardinals agreed to one-year contracts Friday with outfielders Jon Jay and Peter Bourjos, leaving infielder Daniel Descalso as the team’s final player in salary arbitration.

The 28-year-old Jay set career highs last season with 151 hits, 67 RBIs and 27 doubles. He has hit .293 over the last four seasons, set a franchise record with 245 consecutive games in the outfield without an error and has a .995 fielding percentage.

The 26-year-old appeared in 55 games for the Angels in an injury-shortened 2013 season. He was hitting .333 on June 30 when he broke his right wrist. He was acquired by the Cardinals in November along with outfielder Randal Grichuk for infielder David Freese and pitcher Fernando Salas.
