The Titans made the big shots when they need it and pulled away from Skyview to remain undefeated in 4A Greater St. Helens League play.
Riley Hawken scored a game-high 20 points for Union (7-6, 4-0), with 12 of those points coming in the second half.
“Hawken did a good job in the second half,” Skyview coach Matt Gruhler said. “He established himself down low and got at least 10 points off rebounds.”
Micah Paulson added 14 points, making three 3-pointers in the second half.
Tyler Hoffman scored all of Skyview’s 15 first-quarter points and had 19 of his team’s 28 first-half points, but was shut down in the second half, finishing with those 19.
Both teams shot the ball well, but Gruhler said the game came down to Union making the big plays.
“They were hitting the tough shots,” he said.
