LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Los Angeles Clippers have signed free agent forward Hedo Turkoglu for the rest of the season.
The team also re-signed guard Darius Morris to a second 10-day contract and released guard Maalik Wayns on Thursday.
Turkoglu was cut by Orlando earlier this month. He played just 11 games last season because of injuries and a 20-game suspension for use of performance-enhancing drugs. The 34-year-old forward also played for Phoenix, Toronto, San Antonio and Sacramento during his 13-year NBA career, posting career averages of 11.9 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.1 assists.
Morris averaged 1.0 point and 0.3 assists in three games after signing with the Clippers last week.
Wayns, in his second stint with the team, missed the first 33 games of the season due to a torn left meniscus. He was waived on Jan. 5 and signed to a 10-day contract the next day.
