SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. (AP) — Transfer center Chier Ajou has enrolled at Seton Hall.
The Big East Conference school announced on Wednesday that the 7-foot-2 center who played at Northwestern is taking classes for the spring semester. The native of South Sudan must complete two semesters of academic residency before playing for Seton Hall. He has 2 1-2 years of eligibility remaining.
Ajou is the fifth newcomer for the Pirates’ 2014-15 season. He joins fellow New York Metropolitan-areas players Isaiah Whitehead, Angel Delgado, Khadeen Carrington and Ismael Sanogo.
Ajou played in eight games over the last two seasons for Northwestern, receiving a NCAA medical redshirt waiver in 2012-13.
