Behind a strong third quarter where they turned up the defensive intensity, Evergreen was able to beat Skyview 57-50 on Tuesday night.

Balanced scoring in the third quarter as well as easy baskets powered by their defense were enough for Evergreen to take and eventually keep the lead for the rest of the game.

Skyview put forth a solid effort behind 19 points from Marcus Lord but Evergreen’s defense in the third quarter swung the game in their favor.

Jalen Ballard had six of his 10 points in the third while Robert Franks led Evergreen with 15 points and seven rebounds in the victory to help them stay atop the 4A Greater St. Helens League standings.
