Published: January 13, 2014, 4:00pm

Adonis Johnson, a 14-year-old Vancouver teen who was battling brain and spinal cancer, died last week.

In 2007, when he was 8 years old and first diagnosed with cancer, The Columbian wrote a story about him after going to one of his regular radiation treatments. At the time, he had undergone brain surgery to remove a rare malignant tumor.

Johnson’s funeral will be held at 1 p.m. today at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, 1101 N.E. 112th Ave. Those interested in contributing to the funeral arrangements can make a donation to the Adonis Johnson Donation account at any Sterling Bank branch.
