ALAMEDA, Calif. (AP) — The Oakland Raiders have re-signed defensive coordinator Jason Tarver to a new contract to remain on coach Dennis Allen’s staff.
The team announced the move via Twitter on Tuesday. Oakland also said it has signed safety Tony Dye to a reserve/future contract.
After consecutive 4-12 seasons, the Raiders announced last week that Allen would return for a third year. Tarver joined the organization with Allen in 2012, leading the NFL’s 22nd-ranked defense this season.
Dye originally signed with the Bengals as an undrafted free agent in May 2012, but missed the year with an ankle injury. He was waived at the end of training camp last summer then signed to Cincinnati’s practice squad in late September before being promoted to the active roster Nov. 16 for one game. He then returned to the practice squad.
