PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — Norman Hobbie scored 20 points as Brown finished its non-league schedule with a 91-50 victory over Division III Daniel Webster on Saturday.
Brown (8-6) never trailed, opening the game on a 17-6 run en route to a 44-22 halftime lead. The Bears continued to roll in the second half, shooting 57.6 percent from the field. Leland King led Brown in the second half with 17 points.
The Bears posted a 53.6 percent field goal percentage in the game, as six players reached double figures.
Dockery Walker scored 17, while Matty Madigan had 12 and Steven Spieth contributed 11. Sean McGonagill, the Ivy League’s leading scorer entering the game, scored 10 points and had 12 assists.
Daniel Webster (10-2) shot just 25.4 percent against the Bears. Kevin Perez was the lone Eagles scorer in double figures with 13 points.
