Thief steals lottery tickets at La Center gas station

Scratch-it tickets worth hundreds of dollars

Police are trying to identify the thief who stole hundreds of dollars worth of Washington lottery tickets from a La Center gas station Wednesday night.

Shortly before 10 p.m. Wednesday, a young man walked into the Paradise Truck Stop at 2814 N.W. 319th St. Surveillance footage shows him behind the cash register counter, stealing lottery scratcher tickets and other merchandise.

Police said he may have had an accomplice.

The thief was described as 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, 190 pounds, and having short brown hair. He wore sage-colored pants, a black hooded sweatshirt and a black DC shirt.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call Officer Jerry Lester at 360-263-2745 or 360-263-2750 and reference case No. 14-00008. The Loss Prevention Group is offering an award for information leading to the thief’s identity.
