BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — The NHL’s Olympic break just got shorter for the Carolina Hurricanes and Buffalo Sabres.

The league announced on Thursday that the two teams will play at Buffalo on Feb. 25. That makes up for the game that was postponed on Tuesday after a blizzard all but shut down Buffalo.

Due to scheduling conflicts, the NHL had to squeeze in the game on the final day of its 17-day break spanning the Winter Games at Sochi.

For the Sabres, the rescheduled game will kick off a three-game homestand.

Carolina will now come out of the break facing a five-game road trip that concludes at San Jose on March 4.
