Seattle hopes Wilson, offense can pop in playoffs

RENTON, Wash. (AP) — If there was a concern as the playoffs arrived for the Seattle Seahawks, it sat with an offense that scuffled over the final four weeks of the regular season.

At the heart of getting the Seahawks offense jump started is getting quarterback Russell Wilson closer to the passer he was during the middle part of the season.

Over the final four games, Wilson threw for more than 200 yards only once. He had just four touchdowns and three interceptions, and was sacked 14 times. Seattle went 2-2 while facing four of the better defenses in the NFL, but what made the dip so surprising was Wilson’s prior success that saw his name vaulted into the MVP conversation.

Seattle hopes Wilson on Saturday can copy the last time he faced the Saints when he threw for 310 yards and three touchdowns.
