TUMWATER — Washington’s Fish and Wildlife Commission will get a first-year update on Saturday of its policy to restructure commercial fishing in the lower Columbia River.
The citizen commission meets Friday and Saturday at the Comfort Inn Hotel and Conference Center, 1620 74th Ave. S.W.
The Columbia River policy briefing, to be followed by a public comment period, is scheduled from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday. A briefing on lower Columbia sturgeon is scheduled at 11 a.m.
The top item on the agenda will be a briefing and public hearing on Grays Harbor salmon management, scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Saturday.
