Girls basketball: Columbia River 48, Mountain View 42

Marion Lilly had seven steal, including four in key stretch during the third and fourth quarters that allowed River to open 3A GSHL play with a win.

“She just took over the game defensively and helped put it away for us,” River coach Carl Click said.

Lilly’s steals led to layups, helping her score a game-high 13 points. Ellie Walker and Megan Bloom added nine each for River.

Christina Lundy scored 13 for Mountain View, which opened the game with an 8-0 lead before River closed the quarter with a 13-1 run.
