Clark County freeholders will meet at 9 a.m. Saturday on the sixth floor of the Clark County Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St.
The meeting is open to the public and includes a brief public comment period.
The 15 elected freeholders will eventually draft a proposed county charter that would have to be approved by voters.
Saturday’s meeting includes a presentation about county government from Carolyn Long, associate professor at Washington State University Vancouver.
Also, a county deputy prosecutor will discuss public records law.
Freeholders are anticipated to discuss the separation of legislative and executive powers and possibly debate whether the county should have more than three commissioners.
