Boys basketball: Woodland 58, King’s Way Christian 55, OT

Woodland’s Anthony Dizon hit a 3-pointer at the end of regulation, then the Beavers held on for an overtime victory in a key Trico League game.

King’s Way led 42-39 with seven seconds left in regulation. Woodland’s defense forced a turnover, which allowed Dizon to take a long shot from the corner. The shot grazed off the backboard and into the basket.

Woodland pulled ahead early ion overtime. King’s Way got within three after a four-point play by Kienan Walter, who led all scorers with 26 points.

The win allowed Woodland (7-2) to move into second place in the Trico ahead of King’s Way (6-2).
