Austin Parrish scored 16 points and Tyler Holland added 12 as the Kodiaks took control in the second quarter and fended off a late run by the Eagles.

Kent Mickelson scored 20 points and Gabe Lindblom added 17 for Firm Foundation (2-3, 0-1 Columbia Valley League).

The Eagles led after the first quarter, then eventually trailed by 17 before closing within four with about four minutes remaining before foul trouble took its toll.

“We’re not very deep and this is only our second year as a program,” Firm Foundation assistant coach Jake Bechtel said. “We played pretty well. Last year, we got blown out by (Columbia Adventist), so we’ve made a lot of improvement.”
