Wells Fargo on Monday appointed Tracy Curtis as its new regional president for Oregon and Southwest Washington, effective immediately. Curtis, a Wells Fargo executive vice president, now oversees the customer service, sales and community involvement activities of about 1,500 employees at 129 bank branches. She is based in Portland.
Curtis previously served for two and a half years as Wells Fargo’s regional president for San Francisco. She was responsible for 41 bank branches and 700 employees. She started her career at Wells Fargo in 1988 as a teller in California.
Curtis is the first woman to lead the Oregon-Southwest Washington region for San Francisco-based Wells Fargo. She replaces Don Pearson, who moved to the bank’s region president position in Iowa after about five years heading Portland-based regional operations.
