A convenience store in the Bagley Downs neighborhood was robbed overnight Monday, but Vancouver police were not able to locate the person responsible.

A white man walked into Chevron, 4100 E. Fourth Plain Blvd., minutes after midnight Monday, according to Vancouver Police Department spokeswoman Kim Kapp.

The man displayed a gun and fled the store on foot with cash, Kapp said. No one was injured.

Officers and a police K9 unit searched the area but were not able to locate the man. The robbery suspect was described as 6-feet tall, 155 pounds, wearing a white hat, gray sweater, light blue jeans and black shoes.

Kapp said that a surveillance photo was being sent to detectives but was not available for release on Tuesday.
