HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. (AP) — Jordan Jackson scored 16 points to lead Northern Kentucky over North Florida 70-64 on Monday.
Northern Kentucky (7-9, 3-1 Atlantic Sun) got 12 points apiece from Jalen Billups and Tyler White, while Jake Giesler added 11. The Norse shot 43.5 percent from the floor and blocked 12 shots.
North Florida (9-8, 3-1) had three players all score 15 points apiece — Travis Wallace, Dallas Moore and Jalen Nesbitt. Beau Beech chipped in with 11 points and eight rebounds.
Northern Kentucky opened a 17-10 lead with 11:59 left in the first half after a pair of treys by Giesler and Todd Johnson, but the Ospreys wouldn’t led the lead get any bigger and trailed at intermission by just four at 35-31.
The game was tied at 52 with 7:52 left after a pair of Nesbitt free throws, but NKU scored the next seven points and held on down the stretch.
