NEW YORK (AP) — Sergei Bobrovsky is back in the net for the Columbus Blue Jackets after the reigning Vezina Trophy winner missed 14 games because of a strained groin.
He got the nod from coach Todd Richards and started Monday night against the New York Rangers.
Bobrovsky, who has been out since Dec. 3, was activated from the injured list Thursday but sat out two more games before making his return. He is 10-11-2 with a 2.72 goals-against average and a .909 save percentage in 23 games this season.
Bobrovsky was matched up against Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist, the Vezina Trophy winner in 2012.
