An all-terrain vehicle stolen from a Brush Prairie nonprofit last week has been recovered and a suspect has been arrested, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.
The 2006 Polaris ATV was stolen Jan. 1 or Jan. 2 from Silver Buckle Ranch, 11611 N.E. 152nd Ave. The olive green vehicle, which was donated, has a dump bed and is used to haul hay and do farm chores at the ranch, which offers therapy for local youths by featuring horseback riding.
Sheriff’s deputies quickly located the stolen ATV, which had been partially dismantled, because of tips from the public. Several residents told law enforcement they had seen a teen boy riding the vehicle in the Orchards area and one anonymous tipster was confident that the ATV could be found at 7016 N.E. 140th Ave., according to a probable cause affidavit filed in Clark County Superior Court.
Deputy Robin Yakhour visited the address Sunday and arrested Joshua S. Gray, 18, of Vancouver for suspicion of burglary and theft of a motor vehicle. He is believed to be the only person involved, according to the sheriff’s office.
