MIAMI (AP) — The Toronto Raptors found a way to deal with the snow and extreme cold in the Midwest.
They’ll be staying an extra day in South Florida.
Instead of departing for Indianapolis after facing the Heat on Sunday night, the Raptors announced they will remain in Miami and practice on Monday before flying north. They visit the Pacers on Tuesday night.
Dozens of flights into and out of Indianapolis were canceled on Sunday and travel schedules also are expected to be affected on Monday. Forecasters said up to 4 inches of snow could fall in Indianapolis overnight as well.
And there’s this: Monday’s expected high — yes, the high — in Indy is forecast to be minus 11 degrees, the National Weather Service said. Miami’s expected high: 83.
