FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) — New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick can prepare his players to stop Andrew Luck now that they’re set to play the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC divisional round.
The teams will meet Saturday night at Gillette Stadium.
The matchup was determined when third-seeded Cincinnati lost to San Diego 27-10 on Sunday, one day after fourth-seeded Indianapolis (12-5) beat Kansas City 45-44 as Luck threw four touchdown passes and the Colts rallied from a 28-point deficit.
Second-seeded New England (12-4) had a first-round bye for the fourth straight season.
In the previous playoff meeting between the teams, the Colts won the AFC championship game 38-34 after trailing the Patriots 21-6 at halftime seven years ago.
New England goes into Saturday’s game with five wins in six games. Indianapolis has won its past four.
